For over 35 years, Donny has been creating art for the enjoyment of others. In college, Donny was a cartoonist for the Daily Lobo.
After graduating college with a Bachelor’s of Science Donny joined the United States Navy and became a helicopter pilot. Serving on Marine Corps Base Kaneohe, in beautiful Hawai’i, for HSL-37, made Donny the pilot he is today. LCDR Johnson retired from the US Navy in 2017. After Hawai’i, Donny attended law school at Golden Gate Law School in San Francisco and the Universite Paris X Nanterre in Paris, France. Immediately after passing the California Bar Exam, on the first try, Donny opened his own Law Office in Oakland, California. Shortly after starting his first year at Johnson Family Law P.C. The artist is also and appellate attorney writing appeals for veterans, challenging their disability ratings with the DVA. Donny was called up to serve in Baghdad, Iraq. He used some of his spare time in Baghdad creating art for his fellow service members and appeared on the cover of the Tigris Times for his art at the end of his tour.
Mr. Johnson has published two books of art called "Who Gets the Piano Tonight" and "Drawing Inspirations".
